Tide Quencher™ 3WS (TQ3WS) has been developed as an advanced quenching agent, exhibiting superior properties over traditional quenchers such as TAMRA, TF3, and Cy3. The TQ3WS quencher offers: (a) significantly increased absorption coefficients; (b) enhanced quenching efficiencies; (c) high aqueous solubility; and (d) diverse reactive derivatives suitable for conjugation with oligonucleotides and peptides. Notably, TQ3WS is the most water-soluble non-fluorescent quencher currently available for oligonucleotide and peptide applications. Our research demonstrates that TQ3WS significantly enhances the solubility of hydrophobic peptides in aqueous environments. Furthermore, TQ3WS maleimide exhibits specific and efficient reactivity with thiol groups under mildly acidic to neutral pH conditions, making it a versatile tool in bioconjugation chemistry.
