| Applications | CHAPS is a non-denaturing, electrically neutral, sulfobetaine dtergent. It is used for solubilizing membrane proteins and breaking protein-protein interactions. It causes less protein aggregation than non ionic detergents and is capable of solubilizing poiate receptors. CHAPS can be removed from proteins by detergent removing gel or dialysis. |
