XFD546 is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has the same chemical structure of Alexa Fluor® 546 (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of ThermoFisher). It is a bright red-fluorescent dye optimal for use with the yellow laser line at 546 nm. XFD546 dye is water soluble and pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10. XFD546 acid is the most economic amine-reactive form for conjugating XFD546 fluorophore to a peptide.
