iFluor® 450 is a blue-fluorescent dye that is excited by the 405 nm laser line and emits green fluorescence with a peak at 502 nm (Ex/Em = 451/502 nm). It exhibits stronger absorption and brighter fluorescence than Alexa Fluor® 450, along with excellent photostability, water solubility, and stable performance across a wide pH range (pH 3 to 11). With a moderate Stokes Shift and clean spectral separation, iFluor® 450 is particularly well-suited for multicolor flow cytometry and confocal microscopy. iFluor® 450 acid is the non-reactive form of the dye and serves as a reference standard or fluorescence control in assays utilizing iFluor® 450 conjugates. It is compatible with ICC, HCS, live-cell imaging, and flow cytometry. It can also be chemically modified to generate activated esters or STP derivatives and coupled to hydrazines, hydroxylamines, or amines using water-soluble carbodiimides such as EDAC, allowing efficient labeling of proteins, antibodies, peptides, and amine-modified oligonucleotides.
