XFD594 NHS Ester (Succinimidyl Ester) is the same molecule to the Alexa Fluor® 594 NHS Ester (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of ThermoFisher). It is a bright red-fluorescent dye optimal for use with the frequency-doubled He-Ne laser line. XFD594 dye is water soluble and pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10. The NHS ester (or succinimidyl ester) of XFD594 is the most convenient amine-reactive form for conjugating this dye to a protein or antibody.

Figure 1. Top) Spectral pattern was generated using a 4-laser spectral cytometer. Spatially offset lasers (355 nm, 405 nm, 488 nm, and 640 nm) were used to create four distinct emission profiles, then, when combined, yielded the overall spectral signature.
Bottom) Flow cytometry analysis of whole blood stained with PE/XFD594 anti-human CD4 *SK3* conjugate. The fluorescence signal was monitored using an Aurora spectral flow cytometer in the B6-A channel.
