ACK Lysis Buffer is used to lyse red blood cells.

Ammonium chloride (mw: 53.49 g / mol)##
Potassium bicarbonate (mw: 100.12 g / mol)##
Disodium EDTA (mw: 372.24 g / mol)##
  • Prepare 800 mL of distilled water in a suitable container.
  • Add # of Ammonium chloride to the solution
  • Add # of Potassium bicarbonate to the solution
  • Add # of Disodium EDTA to the solution
  • Adjust the pH to 7.2-7.4.
  • Add distilled water until the volume is 1 L.
  • Store for up to 6 mo at room temperature.
