Glycine-HCl Buffer (0.1 M, pH 3.0) Preparation and Recipe
This low-pH buffer is used extensively with affinity chromatography, particularly with proteins and antibodies. It is also used for cell culture and other biological applications.
To prepare
L of Glycine-HCl Buffer (0.1 M, pH 3.0):

Hydrochloric acid (mw: 36.46 g / mol)##
  • Prepare 800 mL of distilled water in a suitable container.
  • Add # of Glycine to the solution
  • Add # of Hydrochloric acid to the solution
  • Adjust solution to final desired pH using HCl or NaOH
  • Add distilled water until the volume is 1 L.
