Tris-Buffered Saline (TBS, 0.1 M) Preparation and Recipe
Tris-Buffered Saline (TBS) is commonly used for washing in many applications, such as cell culture, IHC, WB, and ELISA.
To prepare
L of Tris-Buffered Saline (TBS, 0.1 M):

Tris (mw: 121.14 g / mol)##
  • Prepare 800 mL of distilled water in a suitable container.
  • Add # of Sodium chloride to the solution
  • Add # of Potassium Chloride to the solution
  • Add # of Tris to the solution
  • Adjust the pH to 7.4 with HCl.
  • Add distilled water until the volume is 1 L.
