Embryonic Medium Preparation and Recipe

Embryonic medium is used for culturing embryos.

Potassium Phosphate Monobasic (mw: 136.09 g/mol)0.02 g0.00015 M
Sodium phosphate dibaic dodecahydrate (mw: 358.14 g/mol)0.02 g0.00005 M
Sodium bicarbonate (mw: 84.01 g/mol)0.06 g0.0007 M
  1. Prepare 800 mL of distilled water in a suitable container.
  2. Add 0.87 g of Sodium chloride to the solution.
  3. Add 0.04 g of Potassium Chloride to the solution.
  4. Add 0.15 g of Calcium chloride dihydrate to the solution.
  5. Add 0.25 g of Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate to the solution.
  6. Add 0.02 g of Potassium Phosphate Monobasic to the solution.
  7. Add 0.02 g of Sodium phosphate dibaic dodecahydrate to the solution.
  8. Add 0.06 g of Sodium bicarbonate to the solution.
  9. Add distilled water until the volume is 1 L.
  10. Adjust the pH to 7.0-7.5.
