IPTG Solution Preparation and Recipe
IPTG (isopropyl-beta-D-thiogalactopyranoside) is a synthetic lactose analog.

  • Prepare 800 mL of distilled water in a suitable container.
  • Add # of IPTG to the solution
  • Add distilled water until the volume is 1 L.
  • Sterilize by passing it through a 0.22-µm disposable filter. Dispense the solution into 1-ml aliquots and store them at -20°C.
